Erasmus+

erasmus WAiK

The Erasmus+ program, funded by the European Union, aims to enhance education, training, youth, and sports development throughout Europe. It facilitates the exchange of students and doctoral candidates between Erasmus+ Program countries and partner nations.Participation in the Erasmus+ program offers students the opportunity to enhance their communication, language, and intercultural skills, in addition to acquiring highly regarded soft skills that are essential for future career success.

Opportunities to study abroad are available to students at short cycle Bachelor and Master levels and Doctoral candidates. The study period abroad can last a minimum of 2 months (or 1 academic term or trimester) and a maximum of 12 months. With Erasmus+, students and trainees can benefit from multiple exchanges, either as a student or as a trainee. However, the total time spent abroad, including study periods, may not exceed 12 months within one cycle of study (BA, MA, or PhD).Erasmus+ supports traineeships (work placements, internships) abroad at any workplace for students currently enrolled in higher education institutions in program countries at short-cycle Bachelor's and Master's levels, as well as for doctoral candidates. These opportunities are also available to recent graduates, allowing them to enhance their skill sets and competencies that employers seek.

Traineeship

Erasmus+ traineeships are available to any student enrolled in a higher education institution that holds an Erasmus+ Charter for Higher Education. The traineeship must align with the student's degree-related learning objectives and personal development needs. Ideally, it should be integrated into the student's existing study program, wherever possible. Traineeships can be undertaken at any organization in an Erasmus+ Program Country, with the exception of EU institutions, bodies, and agencies.
